Bride Wars

Last thursday, out of nothing i went out and watch Bride Wars together with someone special. The real plan it to have lunch somewhere in Boni Ave. but instead we decided to watch movie, as well as we planed to watch Bed Time Stories but we end up watching Bride Wars.

The movie was nice, a story of two best friends dreaming to have thier wedding in a special place to them. But accidentally something wrong happened with the schedules of their wedding.

With this situation thier friendship was tested and did nasty things against each other. At the end they stop fighting appologized to what happened.

Enchanted Kingdom!

it is my first time to go to Enchanted Kingdom as far as i remember that the amusement park was opened way back 1995 and I haven't had a chance to go there. I was surprised that our company has a treat to us for the Thanks giving day. We had a company outing and I did grab the chance to go there, I was really excited to see the amusement park and i did ride all the featured rides in their amusement park such as the anchor's away, space shuttle, log jam and rio grande rapids. it was really fun.

Jack's Loft

Last November 20 we went to Eastwood City in Jack's Loft to meet up and have a bonding moment with our precious teammate Lindy who transferred to an airline company a year ago. We had a great time talking and bonding that night. and i hope that we can still have a chance to meet up again because that night was not that long for us to have bonding because Lindy needs to go home early and have a flight to CEBU.

Prize Money from the Contests

Last October 4, 2008 we did received the cash prize that we've won for the past two weeks. Our team received an oozing 8 thousand box. the good thing was, our team will be having an outing. we're very happy because we have an extra pocket money for the outing.

Casbah Dressup your Work Station Contest

Last September 26, 2008 we designed our work station in line with the launch of our newest version of QuickBooks Version 2009 and the company named it as Casbah. Casbah is located in North Africa.

we did some research about their culture so we designed our work station using the colors of the mardigras festival as well as with Arabic accent, we also did use the arabic colors for the letters on the walls.

inside the walls we did show on each work station the new features of our product support. and the good thing was we won again. all the efforts that we had was paid of. congratulations to our team!

CTC Process

Last Friday, our account had a contest by designing our workstations and walls about our new contact process (CTC "Click Then Contact"). Our group decided to replicate the website where the customers will go in case that they need to talk to the tech support.

We designed the walls, using out talents and skills we were able to make our design way different with the other teams/contestants. Most of the Judges were amazed looking on what we did and received compliments. They said that its very informative. Our team won four thousand pesos for the design. Thanks to my teammates who helped us and for the support, without you folks we will not win....

My Long Lost Friend

Last monday our phones were disconnected though we have internet lines we can't make phone calls. Since were the only business here in manila and we don't have any counter parts in India and Tucson our boss decided to send us to another site where we can do phone calls. We were transferred from Shaw site to Eastwood site. And since we will go to eastwood we sent an email to previous TL and informed her that we will be going to Eastwood.

TL Beth went to our work station in Eastwood and when i saw her I hugged her tight. We have lunch together with Jasper and Mitch. We ate in KFC and few bottles of beer in Somethin' Fishy.

Week 4 Intuit SSCM Monopoly

To add excitement on this week's game we decided (Jasper, Joross and me) to put mini games every playoffs. Teams will be rewarded and penalized to make it more exciting and to see their strategy. This week we placed pictures of shopping items and the teams need to guess the price of each item.

The will can get and place the item on their bucket whenever they step on th block and they are also obliged to pay the penalties indicated on the block.

Week 3 Intuit SSCM Monopoly

This week, Piggy Banker (me) and the Board of Directors (Jason and Joross) did ammend the rules of the monopoly. The major change in the rules is the teams can start building their houses if the own at least 2 lots of the same color block. We changed the value of the GO block, instead of teams getting the 200 dollars when they pass the GO block they will get a certain amount depending on their performance during the week based on their stats.

Team Dark Knights was the first team to build their house. After the play off still Team Just Beach leads followed by Assassins then by Dark Knights.

Week 2 Intuit SSCM Monopoly

this week there are two more properties waiting to be owned. the highest land property which is ayala hills and the cheapest which is the bacoor villages

team assasins was able to purchase the ayala hill while team dark knights purchased bacoor villages....

at the end of the game team beachy still takes the lead followed by team assasins and by team dark knights

Week 1 Intuit SSCM Monopoly

we played the monopoly game for 3 hrs, we started by 6am manila time. each team rolled the dice to determine which team will take the first, second and third turn.

team dark knights started rolling the dice followed by team assassins followed by team beachy....

team beachy procured the 3 big utilities such as the lrt-1, pnr and lrt-2, while team dark knights procured manila waters, team assassins owns the meralco and mrt. it was really fun playing monopoly. we ended the game by a close fight between team beach and team assassins with a dollar difference.

Last saturday we celebrated TL Joross' Birthday in a relaxing place near guilemore in quezon city. He treated us for early lunch and had a couple of drinks. the team was very happy especially that our old teammates attended the event.... but some where not able to come because of some urgent matter.

SSCM Monopoly Primer

last saturday we posted the game board and we had our primer for the monopoly so that we can see what are the things that we need to add/change. we discussed the rules of the game.
we also did have the trial game and it was fun....

SSCM RnR Monopoly

the amazing race sscm edition has already ended, as we know Team Kelly (our team... heheeh) won the race.... and for the next 10 to 13 weeks three teams will compete again..... this quarter we will be playing MONOPOLY....

the rules are almost the same as what we have on the tradional rules of the monopoly game.... the exciting part is we added something on the game instead of 16 cards for Chance box and 16 cards for 16 cards for community chest, we added 8 cards for community and 8 cards for chance chest.... the added cards is composed of 3 diffrent categories which will test if the team is willing to take the risk or just playing safe......

preparations:
jason did the review for the rules, created the gameboard and the logo, prepared the tools like the money, chance cards, community chest, title deeds.
joross will do the computation of the scores and will facilitate the game
i prepared the extra cards for the challenge and i will be the banker.... (piggy banker) heheeh...

wait for the next blogs and im gonna tell you who's getting rich and who's getting bankrupted.

Pasta! pasta!.......

one of our teammates "Fatti" brought a pastafor the team that she cooked, it was really interesting because the pasta was tossed in garlic and basil leaves.... she used tuna for the main ingredient at was really delicious.... i asked her how did she cooked it, i bought all the ingredients needed and tried to do my own mix and fortunately it was really awesome and delicious.... it is also easy to do and fun!.....

me and mitch went out to have lunch in teriyaki boy in starmall this afternoon. mitch was really craving for raw fish. we ordered sushi, salad, yakisoba.... this is the first time i saw mitch ordered a lot of food. and one more thing she likes wasabi... (omg! super hot!) our lunch was fun talking about interests....

After 8 weeks of hardwork.... winning the challenges each week.... the race comes to end.
during the 8th Leg of the race TEAM BETH and TEAM KELLY are tied. after gathering all the pieces of data, from attendance to VOC returns and knowledge management....

TEAM KELLY won the 8th Leg and also won the Monthly Top Performer... it was a really good competition.... all the efforts that we have from 1st leg to the last leg paid off. all of us had fun working and playing together.... let's wait for the next RnR for Quarter 3.....

Final Leg of the Amazing Race: Intuit SSCM Edition

This is it! the last leg of the race, after 8 blazing weeks we come to the last game of the season. the most exciting games that we had on the floor. too much preparation from the materials to game proper.

the season finale game was the "Wheel of Fortune", we created the board as well as the roulette. it was Jason's effort in creating the wheel and the words to guess. i did the game board for the words to guess and the money on the wheel. TL Joross did the computation of the money. It was really fun becasue its a game of luck and strategy, we had 3 rounds for the game. Team Kelly is blazing from round 1 and round 2, Team Menny was able to win round 2 and luckily team Beth was able to catch up and win the game in Round 3. it was really exciting game.... im gonna miss this season.... watch out for the next quarter's RNR.....

7th Leg of the Amazing Race: Intuit SSCM Edition

The seventh leg is one of the most exciting week for all of us, because the scores are really good for the week so we need to have a tie breaker. We decided to have a mental game again but this time it’s more difficult. This week’s game is ANAGRAM.

Based on a computer game we will give them a word or a phrase and they need t rearrange the letters to form the word that we are looking for.

Example:

LISTEN

Clues à the art of ( -ing), the normal thing that you do when someone is speaking in front.

Answer: LISTEN

Team Menny won the game but Team Kelly was able to guess the bonus item.

6th Leg of the Amazing Race: Intuit SSCM Edition

This week, we challenged the teams on their physical skills. The game is balloon tag. 3 members in each team participated on the game and the objective of the game is to pop the balloons of their opponents. Each player has their own balloons tied on their knees and then will form a circle. When the go signal is given they need to pop the balloons of their opponent using their legs. The player that will keep his/her balloon will win the game.

Note:

No injuries happened during the game proper but what I can say is Shawn feel on the floor by Mina’s legs. Shawn even asked for assistance to stand him up. It was really fun and memorable that they look like kids for awhile.

5th Leg of the Amazing Race: Intuit SSCM Edition

This week, we challenge the teams on their probing skills. We played the Pinoy Henyo. Each team has their set of words to guess. Each team will choose 2 members that will play. The first player’s role is to probe questions and the second player’s role is to answer it with a “yes” or “no”. Player one will wear a hat where we will place the word to guess.

(Shawn... having trouble guessing the word..... hahahahahahah)

The game is really fun because the player doesn’t know what to do. Team Beth was able to guess a word.

4th Leg of the Amazing Race: SSCM HighLand Edition

4th leg of the race is one of the most funny games that we had. the teams were crazy as well as our Shift Manager and Client Manager was able to see the reactions of each team members.

4th leg's game is "pairs". we prepared 18 pictures of pictures placeg in a 6 by six matrix block. each team needs to finish the game by picking 2 blocks and must have the same picture. the team that has least number of mistake will win.

team kelly was the first one to try the game followed by team beth and by team menny. it was fun mitch is almost crazy because the picture are alike.

this wekk team beth wins the game followed by team menny and team kelly is the last place.....

lets see who will win the 5th leg of the race...

3rd Leg of the Amazing Race: SSCM HighLand Edition

The 3rd Leg of the race is over and this weeks challenge was "Rabbit, Archer and Wall". 'Its like a human Jack en Poy for Filipinos and Paper, Scissors and Stone for Americans.

As what we promised to the teams, the rules will always change. This week we make it more physical and fun so all of the team member will participate. Each team has a chance to challenge all of the teams to advace a block ahead. This week only one team has the chance to move one block forward.

the rules for this game are:
- each team will be given 10 seconds to discuss what will they portray (rabbit, archer or wall)
- the emcee will give a signal after 10 seconds
-the teams are facing against each other and when the emcee gives the signal to face each other they will protray what they have decided.
-first team to score 3 will win the round

rabbit can beat the wall
archer can beat the rabbit
wall can beat the archer

Team Kelly and Team Beth is the first one to do the challenge. Team Kelly won over Team beth with a score of 3-0. followed by Team Beth VS. Team Menny, team Beth did catch up this time by beating Team Menny with a score of 3-1. Next round was Team Menny VS. Team Kelly, Team kelly won the round with a very close fight 2-3.

Hmm.... what will be the challenge next week..... let me think about it. ü

2ng Leg The Amazing Race: SSCM HighLand Edition

the second leg of the race has ended. this week we have a few changes in the rules, we took off the FAST FORWARD card and replaced it with the YIELD card. Team Menny picked the Yield card while Team Beth and Team Kelly picked DETOUR card.

whenever a team picked the yeild card they will have the power to choose a team that they can yeild and that team will have no chance to do their challenge for the week and the other team will have the other two teams will have the chance to do it. since Team Menny picked Team Kelly to be yielded because during that time they are the leading team.

and the challenge for this week is PICTIONARY... Team Menny choose Stan to be the person to draw on the board and Shawn for Team Beth.

Stan did their best to finish the challenge but apparently they ran out of time and Shawn and their team was able to finish the challenge.

for the second leg of the race Team Beth and Team Kelly were tied in first place and Team Menny in second place.

Last saturday (MAY 17,2008) we had a team breakfast in Ruffo's Ortigas. Our TL together with our teammates who got promoted and specially the one who got regularized are the ones who treated us.

1st Leg of the Amazing Race : Intuit HighLand Version

The first leg of the race ended this week. Team BETHE and Team KELLY are the top teams for this week followed by Team Menny. The teams also have the chance to advance one block forward by doing the weekly challenge. Each team leaders will choose an envelop that will contains their challenge.

me and my teammate Jason went to Shang Ri La, we bought a new pair of shoes. after i bought my shoes and pay my bill, Jason got hungry and wants to eat. we went to Tender Bob's and had our lunch there.

Jason ordered pasta and bottomless iced tea....i ordered baked zitti and botoomless iced tea.... i thought that it was enough.... Jason was craving for an ice cream so he ordered ... well the lunch was fun and our stomach were satisfied.

Tax Refund.....

It’s been a long time since we waited for the refund to come, and last May 15, 2008 our payroll team send out an email about the details of our refund. I am really excited to have my tax refund because I’m planning to buy new shoes.

Mina was the first one to receive an email about her tax refund and she was so happy because she receives a large amount. Shawn received her email and she was a bit disappointed coz she got not that much as she expected. Few minutes later I receive an email about my tax refund and my God! I didn’t expect that I will receive 8.193php, Shawn changed her mood from being upset to being thankful. I thought I can buy my new shoes but instead of disappointment I laughed on it because it’s funny that among our group I receive a tax refund this much.
